SkiHut

Supplier portal and automatic packshot editing for winter sports clothing

SkiHut sells winter sports clothing, jackets, and accessories from a large number of brands. The images mostly come from suppliers, in varying formats and with different filenames. The challenge is not to edit one photo, but to reliably match tens of thousands of supplier images to the correct item and publish them in a single image line.

Supplier files enter Photopilot through the supplier portal. Each file is first linked to the correct item; then crop, background, aspect ratio, and export follow automatically. Only files that cannot be confidently linked are sent to the team.

Besides images, SkiHut uses Photopilot for product texts. Texts are created from item data and go to the webshop after review, so images and texts are ready in the same route.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do SkiHut's supplier images get into Photopilot?

SkiHut suppliers submit their files via the Photopilot supplier portal. For each supplier, you can see which files are linked to an item, which are still unknown, and where there is a conflict. Only a confirmed link proceeds to editing.

What does Photopilot do with SkiHut's images?

Each linked image automatically receives the crop, background, aspect ratio, and filename agreed for that product type, from down jacket to hat. In the SkiHut environment, over 125,000 images have been processed this way. The SkiHut team only reviews exceptions.

Does Photopilot also create product texts for SkiHut?

Yes. SkiHut uses Photopilot Content to create product texts from item data. These texts are published after review, in the same route as the images, so that images and texts are ready for the webshop together.

Does the SkiHut approach suit us if we carry many brands?

Yes, the SkiHut route is designed for retailers who receive images from many different suppliers. The supplier portal links files to items, image rules per product type ensure a consistent image line, and the focus is on exceptions. In a conversation, we will look at which sources and systems play a role for you.
