File Sync

File Sync: from Photopilot to your own drive

A small Windows app that puts the first photo of each exported product in a folder on your computer or network drive and keeps that folder up to date, even in the background.

  • The first photo of each product

The approved photo in position 1, using the same file name as your export. If you choose a different first photo in Photopilot, it replaces the file.

  • Everything from the past month, then only changes

The first time, File Sync fills the folder with products exported in the past 30 days. After that, it downloads only new and changed photos every few minutes.

  • Your files stay yours

File Sync never overwrites or deletes a file it did not create. It works on a local drive, a mapped network drive, or a path such as \\nas\winkel\Foto's.

How to set it up

  1. Install

Download the installer above and open it. Administrator rights are not required.

  2. Paste API token

In Photopilot, copy your API token from Settings → API token and paste it into File Sync. The app immediately shows which organization it is connected to. The token is stored encrypted on your computer.

  3. Choose folder

Choose a local drive or mapped network drive, or paste a network path. File Sync immediately checks whether it can write there.

  4. Keep it running

If you close the window, File Sync keeps running in the system tray. With 'Start with Windows', it resumes automatically after every restart.
