Explanation

How Photopilot works with LS Central

If you use LS Central, your items, variants, barcodes, and store inventory are already in one place. Photopilot connects to the same replication web services LS uses for e-commerce and turns that item data into complete product pages with images and text. LS Central remains the source, while Photopilot handles the content and delivery to the webshop.

What Photopilot retrieves from LS Central

Photopilot calls three replication functions in the LS Commerce Service: the full items with variants and barcodes, the item images, and the inventory status. These are the same functions an LS webshop uses to populate its catalog, so no separate export file or custom work is needed. Photopilot reads by store ID, so inventory from the correct branch or webshop warehouse is included. Nothing is changed in LS Central itself.

Only the changes, with the replication counter

On the first run, Photopilot retrieves the full set of items, images, and inventory. After that, it stores the LS replication counter for each function and requests only what has changed since the previous run. By default, this happens every two hours, but a shorter schedule is also possible. This keeps the load on your LS environment low, even with a large catalog.

Variants and barcodes as the matching point

LS Central works with items and variants, often in a color-size structure, with a barcode for each variant. Photopilot uses those barcodes to match supplier images from Fashion Cloud or Stockbase to the correct color. The item images already in LS are included as source images and can be edited as usual. This keeps LS images, supplier images, and studio photos side by side for the same item.

Create content on top of the LS catalog

For each LS item, Photopilot determines which images are missing and what still needs editing. Background, crop, and order are applied according to your shop rules; from a packshot, you can have AI model photos or a ghost mannequin image created. Product texts and SEO texts are written based on the LS item data, supplemented by material and washing symbol recognition in the photos. Iris, the AI creative director, can also create campaign images for new collections.

Delivery to the webshop alongside LS

Approved images and copy go to the channel where you sell, not back to LS Central. Photopilot fills Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and Shopware directly, with image order and alt text per variant. For another webshop or your own frontend, Photopilot delivers via FTP/SFTP, the Webshop Excel, or the API. This keeps ERP/POS and webshop neatly separated, each with its own role.

How the LS Central integration is set up

You provide the LS Commerce Service URL, the store ID, and a user that is allowed to call the replication functions, using basic authentication or a service-to-service token. Photopilot first tests against your test environment or a subset of the items, then puts the integration on a fixed schedule. LS partners do not need to build anything, because the functions are standard in LS Central. Your team then gets a daily view of which in-stock items still have no images or text.
